This course will introduce a series of geophysical techniques that can be applied to determine the physical characteristics of the Earth’s lithosphere, with direct application to the detection and mapping of mineral and energy resources.
The course will cover geophysical exploration techniques commonly used in minerals and energy exploration such as gravity, magnetic, electrical, electro-magnetic and seismic surveys
The theoretical basis of each technique, the methods of data collection, presentation and and interpretation of data will be highlighted.
Who Should Attend ?
This course is for people with a basic to intermediate understanding of the principles of geophysical ore exploration techniques.
The course will serve as a refresher and as a way to integrate their specific knowledge into the broad technical aspects of the mineral exploration.
The course will be ideal for freshly graduated engineers, industry, government and student geologists and geophysicists
