Academic Advising is the method used in the credit hour system. Each student in has an academic advisor who takes care of the student and guides him from his entrance to the college until he graduated. And the method requires from him personal characteristics and abilities that help him in directing the students well, as well as, he is aware of the rules of study and the arrangement of courses … etc.
Academic Advisor assists students in choosing disciplines that are appropriate to their capabilities, abilities and inclinations, as well as helping them to direct the most appropriate study in the best possible way and overcome their obstacles.
Cases requiring the intervention of the academic advisor:
Sudden decrease in academic performance without justifiable reasons.
Unjustified request for postponement or withdrawal from the college.
a. Complaints by faculty members about ongoing negative behaviors shown by the student.
