Course Description
- Credit Hour is the unit of measuring educational credit, usually based on the number of classroom hours per week throughout a term. While the length of a semester may vary, the Carnegie definition is based upon a minimum length of 16 weeks. The total semester hours are calculated by multiplying the weekly hours by 16. For a laboratory class, the hours per week are considered to be all in class with no outside assignments. Thus, one unit is three hours per week of laboratory time.
- Courses differ in the number of weekly credit hours for them according to the size and amount of teaching activity that is required for the course. The student’s attendance is required for a certain time period, and he is required to obtain an average degree of the average determined for the course.
The Credit Unit, and each unit is equal to the other, not only in the duration, but also in the amount of teaching activity in which it is achieved. The Credit Unit has many goals and at the end of this program, the trainee is expected to be able to:

- Create the opportunity to study double-disciplinary departments “Major specialization – sub specialization”
- This system eliminates the student’s sense of failure, which has negative effects on the personality of many students who are exposed to him
- Display the opportunity to repeat the course in which he did not obtain a passing score or the opportunity to choose an alternative course from the set of optional courses
- Display cumulative average of students by improving his rates through re-enrolling in a course that he previously studied and did not obtain a desired level of achievement
- Communicate and interact directly with his academic advisor
- Show how credit hours system is false in measuring the actual effort to study a course
